Listed below are some of the better known beaches of Ibiza plus a few lesser known ones off the beaten track.
North East
Aguas Blancas (White Waters)
Ibiza only surviving official nudist beach, translates to white water (not because there are any rapids but because of the transparency of the water). Head for Cala San Vicente from San Carlos then follow the signs to Agua Blancas. A Steep slope leads down to the beach where the gorgeous sand and water greet you, quite a relaxing place with a small restaurant
Benirras
A favourite with the islands hippies and still hosts the occasional full moon party. A deep cove surrounded by a pine forest couldn’t be more perfect to watch the sun go down behind a mystical rock. Well signed from both the San Miguel and San Juan road.
Cala San Vicente
The most north-east point of the island hides a wide sandy beach with some of the best surf on the island. From scuba to wake boards the choice is here. Driving here is equally as impressive, the view to neighbouring island Tagomago is breathtaking.
South/ West
Cala Jondal
Large, rocky bay where crystal clear water await you. Popular with the rich and famous as the beach is home to some of the island best restaurants. Massages, manicures and being able to order drinks from the comfy loungers give Cala Jondal a Caribbean atmosphere
Es Cavellet
Set in a nature reserve Es Cavallet is another of Ibiza’s hip hangouts, popular with the gay scene. The beautiful sandy beach is surrounded by sand dunes and an exquisite seafood restaurant sits on the sand. The route here takes you past the famous salt flats of Salinas
Las Salinas
A stone throw away from Es Cavallet, Salinas is more exclusive. Home to the Jockey Club amongst others A list are guaranteed here. Lay, relax and unwind to chill out music while embracing the view across to Formentera.
Sa Caleta
The beauty of this site earned it a nomination as a world heritage site. The small fishing huts shadowed by the towering maroon cliffs give this beach a touch of romance. A restaurant famous for is lobster sits to the right of the beach. Easy to find close to the airport turning on the Ibiza San Jose turning/.
West
Cala Conta
Three separate sections of beach make up this small but spectacular beach. Reachable by car, bus, bikes and foot there is no excuse not to visit. The sea can be a little choppy due to the beaches meeting at a point. The inhabited island of Conejera looks as if it can be touched from here.
Cala D’Hort
The views across to the mystical towering rock of Es Vedra put Cala D’hort in contention for one of the best beaches in Ibiza. Strange sightings and happenings have been noted here for years.Legend says this is the third most magnetic point on the planet. If you only make one beach in Ibiza this should be it. Follow the signs from San Jose
