If you are looking for the perfect way to spend the day with friends, a luxury boat trip is the ideal way to truly get into the Ibiza spirit.
Whether it be a private luxury sailing boat or a Sunseeker to speed across the Mediterranean sea there are plenty of options to suite your needs here in Ibiza.
Rolling up to Formentera on your very own speed boat is one of my favourite ways to spend the day when the girls come to visit me in Ibiza. We normally start out day with breakfast at the glorious Rita’s cantina in San Antonio Harbour- this is a definite must have when visiting San Antonio and definitely a great way to start the day before jetting off on the boat .
When the girls and I arrived at harbor we are greeted by the friendly skipper, the boat was perfect and had plenty of sunbathing areas, but also a great sun shade for the non-sunbathers of the group!
The boat also had its own IPod docking station, so in went the IPod-music on and off we went!
There are different routes and packages you can do with the Speed boat, a great 3 beaches tour which includes the crystal clear waters of Cala Conta and Cala bassa or my personal favourite which is the full day trip to Formentera!
We set anchor at Cala Conta and me and the girls went for a dip in the warm luscious sea and toasted the great start to the day with one of the free drinks the skipper had already chilled for us!
As this day I was with the girls, water sports were definitely out of the question! If this is something that you are interested in there are plenty of options for different boats which accommodate for the more adventurous type.
Next stop was Es Vedra, if you haven’t ever been lucky enough to see this amazing rock then cruising past it on your own speedboat is a definite wow factor!
After a few beers and glasses of Vino me and the girls were getting a little hungry- but no need to worry as we had already pre booked at Juan Y Andréa’s, this restaurant is a little on the expensive side, but if you are looking for something a little cheaper the skipper can take you to one of many restaurants’ at Formentera.
As we rolled up to Formentera, the girls and I were in ore at the natural beauty of the island- the water was so clear and the beach looked amazing! The skipper radioed ahead for one of the dinghy’s from Juan Y Andrea´s to collect us and take us to the shore.
After a few hours of exploring the amazing beaches at Formentera, we headed back to the boat- full to the brim with yummy paella and sangria.
We headed back to San Antonio just in time for the sunset, anchored up outside Mambos and watched the sun go down. It had been such an amazing day and the girls were already excited for next year’s visit!
Love from Ibiza xx
